Snow tweets

Don’t forget to use the power of twitter to report the snow.

I’ve just searched the hashtag snow and in less than five minutes found some great potential caller/story leads:

@mbosano Winchester to Cheltenham in 5hrs 30! Last 12miles took 4hrs #Cheltenham #snow

@binarylove Portsmouth is going crazy for the #snow . The city is at a standstill and I can't make any calls due to congestion! Scary

@JeremyHarpham Nearly 2 inches of #snow in an hour in #Hampshire with a revised forecast of up to 16 inches (40 cms) by the end of wednesday.

@Niecieden The snow just started in North London an hour earlier than forecast #snow

@ericdol No #snow in South #London so far. #UKsnow A lot of pavements had been gritted this morning, but for some reason the roads weren't.

And finally...

@failingtofollow my Ipod froze today. literally. When walking to work it fell below it's minimum operating tempeature #snow

@RichMyles Panic buying of cat litter occurring as it doubles up as an alternative to salt or grit! Handy if you have a cat too. #snow

You can also use twitterfall as a rolling feed of tweets containing key words such as snow.
